Kim Arajae is your average good student. She has good grades, good friends, good family, good life. But, her good life takes a turn for the worst when an active shooter shoots up the school. Will she survive? Will her friends survive?

This may seem like a weird story but, the character is based off of a friend and the whole topic of school shootings came from the Parkland school shooting in Florida in 2018. I want to show that these things can have an impact on people, and that if you see anything suspicious report it to authorities.

Outbreak: The Silence Before
The story begins in a seemingly typical day at a school campus, filled with the usual hustle and bustle of students attending their classes, talking with friends, and preparing for the end of the school day. The characters, a diverse group of friends and classmates, go about their normal routines without any suspicion of the impending doom. The realization of the outbreak sets in slowly as they face their fears and prepare for whatever horrors await them outside the walls. Some are terrified, others are in denial, but one thing is certain: their world has changed. Their survival instincts will be tested as the outbreak begins to tear their world apart.
