Stormy grey eyes clashed with playful, inquisitive ones.
Amaris Lancaster woke up with a start, drenched in sweat, her long dark hair sticking uncomfortably to the back of her neck. She had been dreaming of the same pair of intense grey eyes for as long as she could remember.
She sat up, staring at the pale cream wall in front of her. This very tiny room had been her abode for the past sixteen years of her life. She was just an infant when she was brought in to the orphanage. She knew nothing of her parents, who they were or what they looked like. All she could remember was the same pair of intense grey eyes looking into her own.

Regulus Arcturus Black, a young man of merely eighteen, had willingly succumbed to the darkness he was brought into around twenty years ago. He gave himself up to the Dark Lord, compelling himself to do his bidding.
Only after looking into the eyes of an infant that held the same eyes as his, did he realize that what he was doing was dishonorable. He tried to bring himself out of the terrible situation by plotting the downfall of the Dark Lord, but little did he know that it would be the cause of his untimely death.
