Avery isn't your typical teenage girl.  She is left without a family at 16 years old and put into foster care. Her foster parents are nice, but early on she notices something is very off about them. It might be the way they are uptight about odd things, or the way they watch her as if waiting for something to happen. The day before Avery's birthday a strange man warns Avery to be careful, and not leave the house.
