Everyone knows simple fairy tales. But as we grow older...we seem to question more of how the story really went. Was Little Red really that foolish to let a wolf tag along? Was the Big Bad Wolf as evil as his name suggested? Where did Little Red's father go? What's with the woodcutter that saved Little Red just in time? Go ahead, read the story now, and maybe you'll understand why you didn't get the full version as a child.

He backed me into the wall and clamped my mouth shut, "Be quiet" his words lashed. His breath fanned against my face and I could smell mint in his breath. The closet was so dark I couldn't make out any of his features except for forest green eyes that pierced into mine, drilling into my skull. Once he was certain the bimbos where gone, he released me and swung open the door then looked at me expectingly. The Crimson Cape
A Retelling of Charles Perrault's Little Red Cap The Crimson Cape retells the classic story of Charles Perrault's fairytale Little Red Cap, better known as Little Red Riding Hood. For many years, the people living in the Infinite Forest have lived in fear of the wolves that inhabit those woods. The wolves used to periodically attack humans and some of the victims lost their lives. In addition to weaponry to defend themselves, the people would don enchanted clothing that would protect them from the wolves. Phoenix is a young girl who grew up without a mother, who was killed by wolves when Phoenix was only a toddler. She was given an enchanted crimson cape to wear whenever she left. the house. One year, during a very frightening encounter with a wolf, her cape is ripped and the magic leaves the garment forever. In order to re-enchant the cape, Phoenix must provide a sample of the blood of the thing she fears the most. In this case, Phoenix's greatest fear was a specific wolf that is believed to be the biggest of them all. The very essence of the term Big Bad Wolf. On her quest, Phoenix learns to face her fears.
