The Edited

Genome editing is no longer a technique of the future. It is a commonplace reality. Quinn, her lifelong best friends, Kristen and Evan, and hundreds of others have been edited as embryos to have distinct advantages that they call abilities. They are the Edited. Unfortunately, it is not all sunshine and roses for the Edited. In fact, there is no sunshine or roses at all. Much to Quinn's dismay, the Edited have been relocated to underground bunkers until further notice due to the current state of war. A group that calls themselves the Opposition is forcibly implanting microchips in Edited. These microchips rob the individual of free will, and the Opposition is using this to control powerful Edited with the objective of taking over the country. Quinn and Kristen believe that they possess what the country needs for victory. They are relentless in their attempt to prove they have not only the technology but also the abilities to implement the technology while Evan does everything in his power to keep them out of harm's way.
