Nobody could see the black flames burning behind the comforting heat of the sun, in the dark alleys of every city, away from everyone's gaze. He, too, as a young police officer, had been dazzled by the bright light that devoured all those who tried to approach it too closely. Like Icarus who had wished to kiss Apollo's lips, Abbachio had been burned by these hellish flames, before his fragile soul sank into the abyss of injustice.

But as his wings melted and the burning wax tortured him mercilessly as it slipped on his pure, porcelain white skin, he saw a small light shine right in front of him; a warm smile, a sweet voice, a wind of freshness that came every day, for a moment, to soothe his pain.

Among all the memories of these cruel times, she was the only one that could put a smile on his frozen lips.
