It's over. Voldemort is dead. After years of working to stop him, and risking his life to hunt down Horcruxes, Harry Potter finally managed to finish him off. The ministry is now in the hands of Kingsley Shacklebolt, the most capable Auror Harry can imagine, and for the first time, Harry truly feels like he can live a normal life. So what's next?
(Note: This is an AU, so the events of the epilogue nineteen years in the feature don't happen, though most details are relatively similar to how JK Rowling said they would be. This is my take on what would happen after the war, and what sort of things Harry would end up getting into next.)

After the war, Harry distances himself from everyone, feeling empty. He spends a year having locked himself up in Grimmuald Place, consumed with guilt. When he's finally drawn from his Godfather's, now his, home by the Weasleys, Hermione appears at his front door with urgent and unsettling news. Harry realizes the hidden horrors of his years at Hogwarts and, together, Harry and his friends formulate a plan to level the playing field. Hermione finds herself out of place after the war. Really out of place. ~The students of Hogwarts have returned for their Seventh Year that they were unable to attend, a year prior. Ron and Harry, getting ready to finish their Seventh Year and become Aurors, like they planned. After Hermione turns down Ron, for feeling wrong about being with him, she feels alone. Scared. Out of sorts. But she isn't the only one. Draco Malfoy sits at the other end of the Great Hall, by himself, surrounded by the other Slytherins, all avoiding him except for Theo Nott, Blaise Zabini, and Pansy Parkinson. The other death eaters. But Malfoy doesn't seem to notice, too busy staring into nothingness, with grief. Hermione cannot help but stare at the poor boy who everyone hates. Who she hates.
