Harry Potter didn't get raised by the Dursleys.

As a result, he grows aware of the Wizarding World with a loving parent figure; Frank and Alice Longbottom, and he befriends many. One of them is a Scottish Chinese girl who loves Quidditch as much as him, named Cho Chang. 

Then he found out that his own cousin, Dudley is magical as well and later, a budding soulbond with Cho.
