Hollow Souls

The year of 2061 WWIII began. The world was a mess for only about 4 years. WWIII was also called "The Nuclear War." People surprisingly lived through this war and slowly rebuilt the small population of people who remained on each continent. In the United States of America, President Eichen had been killed due to nuclear poisoning and 3rd-degree nuclear burns. There had been much debate about who the next president should be for a long time after Vice President Lockhart took over for President Eichen for the last year. There wasn't a lot of people to vote but eventually, they found someone who wouldn't be a terrible president in office. Unfortunately, this president, President Monty, wasn't the best at rebuilding this nation. That's when everything started to go downhill. Strong minded rebels decided the government wasn't good enough and knew how to turn it into an "ideal world."

Sam, Hallie, and Andressa are three of the hundreds of adolescents taken from their homes after WWIII broke out. The government was taken care of by adults who had strong opinions of how to make the world a better place. A world where parents don't exist, children are soldiers, and rules are everything.
There's something that the government doesn't know, though. Andressa is one of many who have powers and resilience against certain pills and injections. She's ready to escape with her newfound friend, Sam, and they're not going down without a fight.
Hallie is a normal stone-faced soldier who is a rule abiding teen whose weak emotions were washed away after days of living in The Complex.
