Eleanor Rigby's story starts at fourteen. She's broken, torn and unsure of the world. Several incidents have occurred in her family, and she had to witness them all, ruining her mental state. She's too young to see such dangers of the world.

Then one day, damage is caused and she chooses the path twice that someone very close to her chose. Except fate has a different plan when they decide to keep her in this world, exposing her insecurities to the world.

With her family knowing about her mental state, they move to America to try to escape their toxic past. But it will always come back to haunt them.

Yes another incident occurs and Eleanor loses everyone she's ever known, leaving her hopeless once again.

She then has to start a new life with a new family, despite these constant memories coming back to haunt her. Although she does meet a very lovely boy.

But be aware: not all fairytales have a happy ending.

❝People like you don't get happy endings, not after that.❞ **** Childhood best friends Étienne LeRoy and Louella Rey were once inseparable-two halves of a perfect whole. Where Étienne was steady, Lou was wild, filling every moment with laughter and light. But that was before. Before Lou disappeared. At twenty-two, Louella has become a ghost of her former self, retreating into a world of silence and secrets after deferring her college dreams. She's mastered the art of blending into the background, hiding the pain she carries like a bruise that never fades. When Étienne returns home after a year abroad, he barely recognizes the girl he used to know. Lou's spark is gone, replaced by hollow eyes and a fragile shell of who she used to be. Haunted by the change and unwilling to give up on her, Étienne sets out to uncover the truth behind her withdrawal. But some truths are better left buried. There's something she's not telling him, something dark-something that involves the one person Étienne trusts most in the world. The deeper he digs, the more dangerous the truth becomes, until Étienne is forced to confront a devastating question: How well do you really know the people you love? **There are serious themes discussed in this book. *(COMPLETED) "The worst thing about being lied to is knowing you weren't worth the truth." He bit his lip. "I wanted to te-" His eyes began to water and as a single tear fell he looked at me and said "but what if you've been lying for so long you don't know how to tell the truth?" "I have and so will you." He shook his head, shut his eyes, and leaned his forehead against the glass. "And here I was thinking you would admit that you don't tell the truth either." I gripped the telephone as my knuckles turned white. "What do you mean?" "Come on Zoey I've seen you sneaking around acting like you're busy. You're hiding something and you won't tell me." All Zoey Campbell ever wanted to do was keep her head down and get through high school. Too bad it isn't that easy. Zoey is tired of everything and everyone. She is tired of being pushed around and tired of watching in the shadows. She is tired of pretending to like that girl that doesn't even know her name. Tired of pretending that she is ok when she isn't. She is constantly hoping for a better way out thinking she should just disappear. All she wants to do is scream but no matter how loud she screams no one can hear her. Don't worry things just get worse. Everyone thinks she's a "sick" girl and just another suicide case waiting to happen. I mean what kind of girl sits by herself everyday right? Zoey is running out of time and she thinks no one has tried to help her until her "special" speech in class. No one really cares about what she really thinks anyway. It just that feeling of pity. Everyone thinks she really is sick but she knows she's not. But what if she is? Maybe all it takes is that one thing to make her snap. As her life gets thrown into chaos and deep dark secrets she can't help but try to figure out the truth. Will she find a way to let her new friends save her or will she just end up as another suicide case? *Disclaimer wrote this in 2017 when I was 14.
