Tasked with protecting Ameranth, Max has successfully illuded the grasp of the shadows. There's only one problem; his friends don't know where he is either.

After the Disaster in Sovereign city, Max has disappeared and the Sentinels have found themselves seperated amidst the chaos. With their home destroyed and Sovereign in distress, the Magistrate is now the closest human city where shadows are yet to roam. Split in two, each group of Max's friends believe that he is with the other. As fate would have it, Max is with neither of them and the shadows are just as clueless. The race is on as the two Sentinel parties journey north with the shadows close behind them. They must reunite quickly before they are picked apart by the shadows or worse.

In a shocking twist of fate, an ordinary school is transported from the familiar world into a vibrant, fantastical kingdom brimming with magic and mythical creatures. Unbeknownst to the students and staff, this realm is plagued by an age-old menace: a powerful demon king bent on conquering the land and casting it into eternal darkness. Stripped of their routines and comforts, the bewildered group soon learns of their urgent mission: to aid the kingdom as its last line of defense. With courage and resilience, they must rise to the challenge, leaving behind the ordinary lives they once knew. In this world, a mystical system has awakened within each of them, bestowing the ability to unlock and harness hidden powers that reflect their unique potential. This system offers new paths to greatness, empowering them to forge alliances, master unfamiliar skills, and confront their deepest fears as they prepare to face the demon king's unrelenting forces. However, not all the students are blessed with equal opportunities or strength. One student, an unlikely hero among them, discovers he has been assigned a lower-tier class-a position with few benefits and even fewer options. Unlike his peers who wield swords, magic, or other mighty abilities, he finds himself restricted to a limited set of skills and weaponry, with only a shield at his disposal. Despite feeling the weight of these limitations, he becomes a symbol of determination and tenacity, relying on strategy, resourcefulness, and an unyielding will to prove that strength isn't always defined by power alone.

In an alternate timeline, the human race found a way to create superpowers. By extracting energy from stars and inserting that energy into humans, 'powers' were created. Powers allowed humans to gain unnatural abilities such as flight, invisibility, super strength or in other words, superpowers. Of course, with the introduction of something so revolutionary, people rose up in the hundreds of thousands in an event known as the Great Rebellion. The insurgents banded together under a single banner and became collectively known as the Shadow, marking the beginning of the Cosmic Wars. Out of the darkness, the Gazers were born. Using what remained of the power technology, the Gazers singlehandedly perished the evil and ended the conflict. However, there was a price to pay. Powers put a toll on the human body and had serious mental and physical repercussions. The solution was to recruit children from the age of 13 to 18 and train them so their bodies would adapt to their powers, eventually becoming immune to all negative side effects. The end of the Cosmic Wars brought forth a new age of peace and prosperity that the world had never seen before. However, the long reign of the Gazers has already begun to crumble, cracks showing up within the very thread of society. Their rule will not last for much longer. The Shadow will rise once again. Or in other words, my unintentional and accidental ripoff of My Hero Academia :/ Blurb is a work in progress
