Loki knew that he'd be hated on Midgard the second Thanos stepped back from the front of his mind, but he never thought that the Avengers themselves would accept him for his flaws. And as their trust grew they learned more and more about Loki- the real Loki -and all about what Thanos did to him.
Now that the Avengers knew, they swore to everything that nothing would stop them from protecting one God Of Mischief and Lies.

Steve starts to notice small things about Loki... just the little things that a person wasn't exactly bothered by but could solve easily. He leaves little gifts for the God and is eventually called out by everyone except your friendly neighborhood clueless-man and God of Obliviousness.
