After an incident traps Russ in an alternate version of America where nothing and nobody is free at all, he decides something needs to be done about it... And after a long struggle, he makes a choice that will determine his fate. Will he take the first chance to get back home he can, or will he stay behind and help the Freedomforces to earn and refine the freedom they so yearn for?

What you are about to read is an alternate reality of the United States of America. What if we didn't have the rights we have? What if we didn't vote for our leaders? This started as a project for my Government class. The assignment was "Write a story or scenario breaking all but one of the amendments." Well, I already had the character of Russ Sterling in mind prior to the assignment, and since he was my newest character at the time, I thought, "Well, why don't I use Russ?"
Thus "Land of the Unfree" was born. It was originally a oneshot entitled "Freedom Force". That oneshot is currently being expanded into the first five chapters of "Land of the Unfree," and I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy writing it!
Warnings: Blood, fighting. Though it's rated PG-13, there is no sex or swearing, though I may use a "swear" used in its proper context, in which case it is NOT a swear.
