These are a series of poems in Damara -Nama Gowab also known as Khoekhoegowab. This language is spoken by the Damara people of Namibia, a Southern African country. The poems address day to day issues as well as the poets personal experiences and thoughts.
The title of the book !Hanab translates as Plant, meaning this is the first work of writing of the poet and she has now planted her seed of writing, promising more works to come. This is a documentation of the language, a contribution of literature of the modern Damara language and tribe.

WELLSPRING OF EMOTIONS
Poetry Is More Than Mere Words, I agree. As a poet I love all poetry verses but the two verses that interest me the most are free and blank verses. The blank verses give me the chance to fill-up their blankness while the free verse gives me the chance to rescue slaves of my thoughts and watch them enjoy freedom. The book is a completely fascinating one. It wanders in and out of poetry, puns, self-indulgently shifts in and out of borrowed and invented voices, and is tricky enough that, on re-reading it, you may find lines that take your thought on a wild goose chase in a quest to find answers to the real story behind them. The poems very nature seduces life experiences and tries to involute them into the poem in a prosy manner. It toys with solemnity and its covert theme is the joy and sadness of emotions. Probably this book is best read in small doses, one or two poems a day. But if you get caught in the web and want it all in one sitting, the freedom from my free verses urges you to go for it! Life experiences
I've been through my own struggle, whether it was created in my head by way of prolonged sadness or bitterness/resentment, or if I was struggling with things I had no control over like failed friendships, a broken heart, or family drama. This is my advice to you based off of my life experiences. Along with pieces of life experience advice I've included poetry and spoken word pieces from different perspectives and I try to break down life into beautiful words that people can relate to and see that we all struggle- you're not alone and we are each so valuable.Concluida

How we made it in South Africa
I invite you to share in our journey. I started writing this book 13 May 2008 It takes you through our whole experience of rising up and prospering in South Africa - even under a racist ANC government. I've written this book as an inspiration, that even in the face of huge adversity, you can come out on the other side and make it. However, my wish for you is not to only "make it" - but live your best life. I invite you to come on this journey with us. It was sometimes an emotional rollercoaster with many trials and tribulations, but the end result was worth it. This book is very special and unique in the sense that it was started and written while I was at the lowest point in my life with no salvation in sight... It's wasn't written in hindsight or after the fact. It started with hope, a dream, a promise. You will see when you start going through these pages - If I could make it, surely you can.
