For most of her life, Kim Hee-Jin has felt all alone. With her parents working all the time and being an outcast at school doesn't help matters. Since she has always been smart, she is bullied by the older girls throughout all her school years. One day something snaps inside her and leads her into a depression and to suicide. Her parents decide to send her to America to a private school so that she can finish her schooling earlier and so she didnt have to go through the bullying again. When Hee-Jin arrives in New York, she experiences a culture shock that leads things spiraling out of control. Then one teacher, Mr. Griffin, reaches out a hand to help her adjust to her new world. Then when certain events occur, Hee-Jin and Mr. Griffin find themselves becoming closer.
However, when a flame ignites between student and teacher, Hee-Jin also finds herself becoming closer to Choi Sung-Woo whom she met the day before she left South Korea at N Seoul Tower.
Through Hee-Jin's tribulations, a small light begins to form and a possible love triangle...
