In the 1970's, gang activity in New York City had grown more popular than ever, where rubbing elbows in any area with a criminal wasn't unusual. Strangers were dangerous, and no one saw more strangers per day than Elijah Vo, who works in his homes downstairs store on a busy Chinatown street.
