Ten long years have gone by since the death of The Mad Titan and the passing of the fabled Iron Man. Morgan H Stark, meanwhile, has been lost in the time; the young prodigy is struggling to find her way in the world; being the descendant to the most documented and respected man in the universe proved to be a lot harder than it sounded. Furthermore - Morgan's heavy heart did nothing to deaden her plight - she missed her dad above all else; seeing how gravely his demise strained her loved ones merely fueled the burning fire in her soul. Only, she's forced to swallow her prudent thoughts as concerns overseen by the Avengers quickly turns to imminent threat that endangers the existence of reality - despite the teams' efforts and her father's unforgettable sacrifice, tremendous peril has risen again.

When the secret to Quantum time travel slips through SHIELD's unforgiving fingers and falls into the hands of less than honorable foes, Morgan finds herself being tossed into her father's legacy of protecting and avenging all life on Earth - only now, the liability of her loved ones' lives and the responsibility of proving herself worthy of her father's mantle has fallen upon her weary shoulders.

If her dad was right, then everything would turn out the way it was supposed to - yet her doubts control her morals, and as unfortunate mission-mishaps leave her questioning where her loyalties really lie, Morgan wrestles with her inner self and her end-goal fuzzes because of it - her mission started with preserving interdimensional peace, but it appears that it's shifted to bringing the world's fallen hero back to uphold his position as Earth's greatest defender - and as Morgan's only father.

She's still to decide - betray all she knows in exchange for what she once knew, or trust in the present and risk losing the only treasurable part of her past.

»In which she doesn't know whether she will use the knife to end him or protect him.« ------------------ Promises. They are maybe the mightiest thing there is in this world. Being able to fulfill you with electric ecstasy on the end of the aisle in forms of vows to your loved one, they also have the power to break your heart into a thousand pieces. Sometimes, the shattering isn't caused by someone not keeping their word, but by yourself not able to hold onto it. Cherry has made a promise to her mother when she found her mutilated corpse at the age of barely eight years. A life for a life. Intending to keep her word for whatever it takes, she prepared her entire life to kill the famous Captain America, praised by most people like an angel, and yet, the murderer of the person meaning most to her. Along her turbulent path, swearing she'd end everyone in her way, she just doesn't calculate the presence of another annoyingly-handsome Super Soldier with that damn deep-throaty chuckle. --------- Trigger warning for basically all the chapters, concerning spice, vulgar language, violence and psychological issues such as depression, lack of self-identity, traumatic events, etc. I recommend you to read this story if you're 18+. If you read it beforehand, I don't hold any responsibility as to how it might affect you. ---------------------- I don't own anyone from the MCU. But I do own Cherry, and every character involved in her personal life that isn't taken from the MCU.

Ever since she was little, Kate Carson's favorite thing to do was learn. And, after losing nearly everything and gaining a power she never wanted, she had to learn to adjust -- and she's still learning. The other Avengers have no scruples against forcing their way onto her list of loved ones, ready to help her get back to where she needs to be. Sadly, as hard they try, they can't, not fully. She needs something else, something she's too guilty to turn to. Bucky Barnes should be dead, and, according to most, he is. But Kate always refused to believe it -- and she's later proven right. He's working with Hydra against his will. But even when he escapes, everything he did for them weighs on him heavily, and he can't get rid of that burden. He feels he deserves it, anyway. When this pair cross paths and realize they're in the same boat, together, they might be able to get to the place they need to be. They might be able to finally live how they're supposed to. And, maybe, they'll find a type of love they never imagined. ~_~_~_~_~ She sits there, looking around at the toddlers she's supposed to be saving the world with - because Fury, in his great and stupid wisdom, decided to put Kate on that list. She told him no, he told her they might not even need it; she told him to take her off, that she was just a scientist, but he told her they'd need a top scientist in their corner; she told him no one on that list needed her, that they would be just fine without her, if not better, and he told her this was the best way she could use her powers if the need arose. Powers. Here, in the field, that's what they are, aren't they? That's what Coulson says. That's what Nat and Clint say. The one place they need destruction. But Kate doesn't want that. She never has. But she took her own choice away. And that infuriates her.

LokixFem!ReaderxBucky IMPORTANT: A little message to those who may not have read the full description: You end up with one of them, not both. This is my first book, so I'm sorry if it isn't that good. THERE WILL BE TRIGGERS! Abuse, sexual assault, and rape. I will warn you at the beginning of those chapters, but it does contain some so please do not continue if it's too triggering! It will contain smut for all you naughty little sausages. It is also written with proper punctuation for people who HATE when it isn't like that (aka people like me). This takes place after Avengers and disregards any other MCU storyline. Okay, have fun. ------------------------ When an old friend from your past comes across you and offers you redemption, you decide to take him up on his offer. When he brings you to meet a new family, you find out people aren't always what they seem, nor do your past mistakes define you. But, just when you're feeling at home and happy, your past comes back to terrorize you. When certain parts of your past come back up, they reveal some surprising discoveries of things that made you who you are today. Aside from that, you meet a flirtatious god and a sweet soldier. When both seem to take a liking to you, who should you choose? Will you get caught up in the alluring magical frost giant? Or the sweet soldier with a heart of gold? ------------------------ Rankings: Five in #yourname Four in #lokixreader Three in #lokifluff One in #buckyfluff Two in #buckylovestory Three in #buckyromance Five in #lokiodinson One in #buckyxreader ------------------------ (I'm not 100% sure if Loki was under mind-control, but I like the idea so I'm going to do it) Storyline belongs to me.
