It happened the first time she had truly panicked, having lost her mother on trip. It was almost as if the further her emotions spiraled the more suffocating her surroundings became. Everything went black, and suddenly nothing was the same. Reality faded in and out, always in the the same way, as if someone had dimmed the light until nothing was left but darkness.
