After the was against Gaea, Percy and everyone else celebrated for months. Percy and Annabeth's relationship was going strong, that is, until that one man walked past the barrier.
He took everything of Percy's one by one.
His cabin, his father, his friends, and then Annabeth.
He ran away from camp in hope of finding his mom, just to see that she had died.
When Chaos comes and makes him his warrior and that 2nd most powerful person alive that's when trouble brews for camp.
When he is forced to help, will he be loved again or fall through the cracks of the past.
