The cloaked girl never showed her face to anyone, except her adoptive parents. She didn't know where she came from nor who she really is. After they died, she continues to hide herself from the public. Not wanting to let anybody in her life as she was scared of losing them. But not after she came across a tanned stubborn boy who will change her visions completely... Until she reserved a mission from the princess which was too important to her.

We never really know what exactly happens to Matthew Holt in the Netflix original series Voltron: Legendary Defender. After being captured by the Galra during the Kerberos mission, we know that Shiro saved him from the Gladiator and that the Rebels rescued him from the Galra prision. Otherwise, we have no idea what happens to him. Based off of some of what we do know, along with elements of my own, this is what I think could have happened to Matt.

The emperor told Keith he fought similar to his Galran soldiers. That had honestly scared him. (AU where instead of Matt and Samuel Holt, it was Katie and her mother who went with Shiro for the kerberos mission.) They were rotting away in a cell. Katie could hear every sound as fear rushed over her when she'd awoken. Shiro had been kind to her and her mother during the mission and that didn't change as they were locked away. They were fine as long as they were together, helping one another and the other prisoners, but then Katie's mother is taken from the cell, leaving Katie with the fear of losing Shiro and being alone.
