Ellis is a 16 year old girl living in 2097 in Los Angeles, California. Technology advanced too quickly that it shut down on itself, leaving the world to fend for itself with older generation technology; which no one quite understands. People under the age of 18 have no rights, only here to be slaves to their parents, and as adults will have children and treat them the same. But not for a group of 15 to 17 year old and a few 18 year old leaders called 'The Orphans' who take in Ellis when she finally decides to run away from her hell of a life. <this was actually a dream that I had. When Allison was 7 her mom found out that her husband was cheating on he with another guy. 3 weeks later Allison found her on the bathroom floor dead. She committed suicide. Well that's what shes been told. Eventually her soon to be stepdad moved in. After the death Allison would not talk to anybody. She was not paying attention at school and would just sit in the corner of the classroom by herself. On top of that her dad started to abuse her daily.
