Ever since the death of her mother, Lillie Von Morias has stayed in Leavingworth with her aunt Victoria. For the most part, her life has been fairly mundane; just like a page out of a storybook, she's lived the normal life of a shy, unremarkable girl who likes to stay close to her family.

That is, until her aunt dies... and with her, the last of the family line.

Freshly turned eighteen and forced to fend for herself in the real world, Lillie decides to pursue her dream to visit the city her mother always spoke so fondly of; a small town in Romania by the name of Morningstar. But getting there proves to be a challenge in itself- even the locals in neighboring towns say they've never heard of the place. Still, Lillie is determined to pursue the last link to her family that she has left, and manages to cross over into the city.

In between dealing with the secrets and dynamics of being a werewolf, the totally not cliche grudge between the vamps and werewolves, being the potential next murder victim of a mysterious and possibly non-human killer, and a hottie with fangs that she sometimes kind of wanted to make out with and other times wanted to rip his throat out, Lila was definitely going to have a totally normal, average life in this new town.
