Echos cause a ripple effect when other people hear them, just like words and rumours do. Sometimes they're hard to ignore, and one can be tempted to say something back, to let someone else hear their echo, but, it's not always the right thing to do. Even echos have consequences. Those seemingly innocent shouts of triumph can be mistaken for something much, much darker. Just ask Rune Knight, he knows all about the repercussions of echos. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. "Why do bad things happen to good people?"
