This is the sequel to 'The Masquerade'. Anna has just been injected with something by the Elders while in the hospital that will erase her memory from everything and everyone she knew. She will be human again and will remember nothing of being a werewolf or anything. Right when she begins to live her life like nothing ever happened (because according to her, nothing interesting has happened). Though now there are certain ones that are after her and she has no idea in why or who they are. How can she protect herself against ones that are more powerful and stronger than her and without, Landon?!
Landon was injected with something to calm him down but still remembers everything, including Anna. He becomes distant from everyone and as Alpha, is losing his abilities and Alpha strength as he lays around and struggles to move on and forget about Anna. When he hears she is being followed by Sheira and Rivers and that she might be in danger, he decides that depsite what the council has told him and the Moon Goddess, he is willing to risk his life and everything for her. Even if it's the last time he will see her beautiful face.
They will both will need to fight against all odds. Even though he doesn't care that she doesn't remember him, he will try and make her remember and even if she doesn't, his love won't stop him from not trying to protect her.
