Eccentricities. Pocket-watches. Rude, rusty roses. A distinct lack of companionship (or high-born manners, for that matter). These are the elements that encapsulate 5513 day-old Alice Alexandria Thicket's simple life, much to the dismay of her fading socialite Mama. Her obsession with counting days and disregard for upper class Anglemire norms only ensures an isolated life, which the girl secretly does not mind; those who stay too near Alice too long suffer her propensity for causing unexplainable blackouts, losing hours or days at a time - a phenomenon she loathes and fears. But upon meeting Dmitry Phineas Kolt, an odd elderly antiquities dealer whose cheshire grin masks impossible knowledge, Alice Alexandria Thicket begins to uncover the true nature of her curse... and the gifts that it may possess. But when figures from Alice's future show up to condemn her actions in their past, the girl's trust in her elderly friend is tested when it appears that his adventurous history is about to spill into Alice's present. Armed with just her trusty pocket-watch, an impulsive tongue, penchant for counting time, and a mysterious bequeathment by name of The Moment Glass, Alice Alexandria Thicket hurdles into the future that has so catastrophically threatened her present, and does so by stepping into the past.

Fourteen-year-old Edison Green may be a genius, but he doesn't have a clue about what to do on his first day of high school. After being homeschooled until age 9 and then starting college courses, Edison doesn't have any experience with kids his own age. His parents believe he has a rare gift and they don't want him to be distracted by the menial problems of teenagers; instead, they want him to focus on his research project, which could be the next big breakthrough in physics. Edison loves physics more than anything, but loneliness and curiosity about life outside his world cause him to rebel. He goes on strike, refusing to continue his studies until his parents agree to let him go to high school for one year. Edison isn't worried about high school being hard--after all, he's been invited to join Mensa International--an exclusive club for the top 2% of the world's smartest people. But he finds out quickly that it takes more than a high IQ to traverse the social events and activities at Southton High School. During an unfortunate encounter with the school's most popular athlete, Edison meets Christina Blakely, who saves him from getting pummeled on his first day of school. She is the exact opposite of him in every way. Christina is a soccer phenom who doesn't have time to be friends with lowly freshmen. She's got problems of her own, including a low GPA, which could prevent her from getting a college scholarship. Can Christina achieve the impossible-the highest GPA she's ever had--and earn her scholarship? And can Edison prove to his parents and everyone else-including Ashley Murray, the most beautiful girl he's ever seen-that he can do more than solve difficult math problems? Can he really change the world with his research project, win Ashley's heart and survive high school?

It's been six years since Alice has been to Underland. She has been busy traveling and advancing the trade of the world. She's forgotten everything about her Wonderland, even her dear friends who are still hoping for her return that's destined to never happen. Well, almost everything. She still experiences dreams of a man with the strangest orange hair and impossibly green eyes that are big and bright with madness. As Alice struggles with the death of her mother and the decision of whether or not to accept another's hand in marriage, she turns to the man in her dreams, who looks so familiar, yet was nothing more than a stranger. The only problem: the man never spoke, unless wild hand gestures counted as talking. But Alice never got an answer and as the strange man in her dreams visited less and less, she found herself feeling empty and longing for something she couldn't put her finger on. But one stormy day on the sea changes everything for Alice and she finds herself back in Underland with her memory in tact. Just as she begins to think everything is okay, Alice discovers a dark secret that threatens to ruin the only home she has ever known. This time, the Champion might have met her match.
