A treasure hunter by the name of Leif Gill, one of the last surviving humans leads a band of thieving rats and marauding weasels into a hidden cave in search of valuable items to sell. However, things go wrong when Leif and his men reach the room where various treasures are located and they attempt to kill him after deciding they had tired of being led by a human.
After suffering a fatal wound, Leif is left for dead and stripped of all his clothes and possessions by his former comrades who take everything they can carry when the dying human hears an angelic voice in his mind, known as the Sapphire Tiger and urges him to crawl to a nearby silver armlet and slip it onto his arm. Upon obeying the request, Leif's wounds are miraculously healed and he becomes blessed with exceptional strength, agility and combat knowledge.
Upon learning of Leif's fearsome power, Sila, the evil queen of the Kingdom of Moonstone is determined to have him in her army so that she may bring the other kingdoms to their knees and rule over the entire world but when Leif refuses to comply, she must resort to other means of securing world conquest...
