Woo, my first story! Heads up, this is not fanfiction. This is my own content, my own characters, etc. This is also a dark story. There is murder, multiple suicides, there's a sort of creepy relationship between our pro and antagonist(adressed multiple times) if you think about it, and language! You have been warned))

Prince BlackHeart is the eldest children to Queen Virtue. Ruler of the Central Kingdom. For his whole life, he has been prepped to rule one day when his mother and father retire. But of course, things weren't that easy. Years of tension, coldness, and indifference to his oldest sister, Valor, a popular contestor to HIS crown, only furthered his fiery ambitions. She was no saint either.
But after being crowned the new heir, and sent to school for queenly education, that is the utter breaking point for BlackHeart. Eighteen YEARS of expectations, teachings, and remarks of "You'll be a
marvelous king" for NOTHING. All his hard work obliterated in a single signature on a fancy document.
In BlackHeart's efforts to take back what he believes to be rightfully his, hard choices and terrible sacrifices are presented. A noble legacy is tainted with a sea of blood. His entire family is ripped apart. He nearly takes down the one person who brought out the remaining good in him down with him.

So what happens when you are faced with a choice between right and wrong? Love and ambition? Family or power?
