Seventeen-year-old Vendel rarely knew when to shut up.
Dana never knew when to speak. Or how to speak at all.

The Stringovics guesthouse was never a bad choice to spend a few days close but still secluded from the city. When Dana joins their kitchen staff to save up for a car during the summer, her parents hope she will finally meet some friends along the way. One of the family's grandsons, Vendel is not afraid of getting to know her, and his perseverance seems daunting to her at first. When she finally starts talking to him, she realizes without him her youth would have gone by unspoken.
Vendel has always liked challenges. After making his decision to leave his sports team, and having his family being lawfully joined for the first time in his life, he becomes aware of the fact that not all had the chance to experience how to let go.

"Why are you talking to me?"
"You seem like the type of person who thinks in novel volumes and tells haikus about them."
