When Mabel and Dipper were little everything was fine, their parents were loving and allowed them to travel to Gravity Falls for a summer, both were excited. Mabel because it was somewhere unknown and Dipper since it was a break from the mental stress, which was only a mere fraction of what it would become. When their trip turns into a nightmare, as a dream demon, Bill Cipher, puts them through hell. *Insert show plot here.* Both Mabel and Dipper left with happy memories, a new home, and mental scars. Once home, their parents hearing the stories were horrified. They blamed their Grunkle's for poisoning their children's minds and deemed Gravity Falls too dangerous forbidding their return till graduation. As they grew up, Mabel became a socially lovable bi butterfly and Dipper an awkward nerd who was gay, disappointing their catholic mother and father. Since Mabel only ever had boyfriends they believed there was still hope for 'saving her,' while Dipper was just a lost cause. Thus, followed years of mental abuse towards both the Pines siblings. Dipper received the majority for being 'lost on God's path.' He couldn't compare to Mabel, she hadn't let them down yet. Dipper, not wanting to worry Mabel, hid how bad it had gotten. Leaving him to deal with everything on his own. Things turned for the worse when he started suffering from depression, PTSD, and night terrors stemming from all aspects of his life. Eventually graduation was here and their parents had promised their darling daughter, so they reluctantly let them return, still fearing what would come of Mabel's mental health.
