Leeroy Wiegand knew it was hell outside the Walls, thanks to the presence of man-eating giants known as Titans, but he still desired to experience the outside world his uncle had read to him about for himself, to sail the world on a boat while being carried by the great body of salt-water.
Then one day the unthinkable happened - Wall Maria was breached by a massive 60-meter Titan allowing the smaller ones to invade and during the incursion, Leeroy lost his step-father and uncle to the behemoth monsters. From this event, Leeroy vowed two things: to reclaim his homeland back from the Titans and find out the truth about them. To achieve both of those vows he will have to join the Scout Regiment, the military branch most infamously known for its high death rates. But come hell or high water Leeroy will do whatever it takes to abide by his vows even if he must lose his life in the process...
