Sometimes Eren wondered if the pain was really worth it in the long run. He could have it removed, lose all of his feelings and spend the rest of his life in lovely, peaceful solitude-

But then, sometimes, just sometimes, Eren would catch a quip of those thin lips. He would notice a sliver of light dance under those pale, grey eyes and feel the need to slam his head into a table multiple times.
