(y/n) (l/n) wants to be a hero. Her family is broke and her dad's in jail, but she applies to UA's hero course nonetheless, along with her best friend.
(y/n)'s enthusiasm lessens when her best friend doesn't get accepted into the hero course, forcing her to go alone. As someone who's always been self-conscious about the way she looks thanks to her quirk and had a hard time making friends because of it, she doesn't look forward to this.
Fortunately, friendly individuals in her new class--such as an electric blond--come her way and she manages to adjust better than she thought possible. Now that she's managed to win people's friendship, perhaps she could also win someone's heart?
A particularly explosive boy seems up for it, even though (y/n) herself would never see it coming.
