This story is about a skulk (pack of foxes) losing one of their best foxes, Worm. Worm, a muscular fox, who is strong in fights and one of the skulk's best hunters, was out hunting, and then he got chased by a wolf. He had to run back to his skulk, but when he got there, all the foxes were fighting more wolves.
They had been catching prey for a long time, but now they were the prey. And Worm must found out a reason why the wolves attacked his skulk, and what they wanted from them.
He had to go on a journey through unknown territory, facings dangers and difficulties, all the way to the Circle of Ancestors, where he will find answers there.
But not only will he find answers, he will also get something no other fox or skulk has, and Worm will have to get used to it.
