Beaten and abused by her boyfriend of a year, Sarah is forced into marrying him by her parents for the money, regardless of the bruises. Sarah barely goes out as she is constantly watched by him, just waiting for him to attack. Fighting to stay alive in a world so unfair. The 22 year old, loses hope as she is abandoned by the ones she thought she loved.
On the day of her wedding, her best friend helps her escape to South Africa, where she meets Theo a 26 year old businessman and part time sensai. Theo helps her forget about about her past, by training her to defend herself. Theo never thought about anyone romantically after his wife and unborn baby died in a car crash. But there is something about Sarah.
Sarah and Theo, are facing different battles but fight to find happiness. Knowing there must be more than this.
This is a story about fighting for oneself and facing those demons holding you back.
