I, Saffron Anne Sinclair, am not like any other girl. I am also not like anyone else. I am a complete individual. Most high school girls tend to fall back into the phase of Disney princesses, not because of childlike wishes, but because of the sweet fairytale romance. Like most little girls, I watched Disney movies. However, I grew up with my parents engraving gender equality into their only child's brain like the political scientists they both were. Let's just say, I enjoyed toy cars but never understood the purpose of dolls. My life never revolved around princesses, so it makes sense that I'm not (and never will be) one of those girls, right? If anyone knows the world is anything but "shining, shimmering, splendid," it's teenagers. But when the not-so-good good girl meets the annoyingly sweet and charismatic bad boy, will stubborn sarcasm and player ways prevent fate from playing its role? Will sparks fly? Or will it end in heartbreak and prove there's no such thing as happily ever after?

Complete! "You know I really like you, right?" He was definitely drunk. "You do?" I asked. My voice was supposed to be teasing, but I think it came off as a bit startled. He laughed, "Yeah, why else would I trust you with all my secrets?" -- Betty was many things; a romantic, a fashion designer, a bit more jealous than the average girl, great with a camera, a helpful daughter and a good friend. But she was best known for being nice. And usually, the boy did not want the 'nice' girl. But this summer she was going to prove to Mike, her crush since FOREVER, that nice was enough. She was going to have an amazing summer, a perfect Junior year, and finally have her first kiss. It was a foolproof plan. Moving from her childhood home in Arizona to New Mexico at the start of Junior year was never a part of Betty's plan. But sometimes when parents are involved, plans change. So now the nice girl had to start over at a new school in a new State. And when the (maybe not so bad) bad boy, Eli, gets involved, it might be hard to be known as 'the nice girl'.
