After being stripped of her memories of the Shadow World, Clary Fairchild goes on by living the life she has always wanted.
One where she has the ability express herself through her art. She has no recollection of the life she lived before, until Jace makes an appearance during one of her art shows, even though he was glamoured.
After realizing Clary can see him, he leaves and tries to fight his urges to see her again. As days pass, Clary begins creating things differently than she usually does, paintings that are no longer abstract but of beings and places.
Day and night, Clary continues painting until she feels a hint of familiarity after she makes a portrait of Jace and tries to make sense of it. She decides to try to find him, hoping that his presence can give her the answer and fill the void inside her.

Love and War ✴ Shadowhunters [1]
Almost seventeen years before Clary Fairchild came into everyone's lives, a young girl around one year old showed up on the steps of the New York Institute. There was no explanation for who she was or where she'd come from. Just a sleeping girl wrapped in a blanket with a necklace and the clothes on her back. She was taken in by the Lightwood family, and over time she became one of the best in the institute. After a while, everyone gave up on finding answers about her family, even the girl herself. But once Clary Fairchild showed up, weird things started happening to her. Things that may explain where she came from. And Serena herself, is a Lightwood, because she's married to none other than Alec Lightwood. Having grown up together, the four of them made a promise that whenever they go on a mission, four go in and four come out. Join them as they fight to keep that promise when their world is turned upside down by the introduction of Clary Fairchild, the fiery daughter of the biggest threat to the Shadow World, Valentine Morgenstern. Will they stay together? And above all, will they stay alive? (Seasons 1-3) (A/N: This is the rewritten version of the original story already published. It is also available on AO3. Would like to note that I have nothing against Alec being gay or Malec, I love them, this was just an idea that popped into my head, so please don't hate. Please don't plagiarise any of it.)
