Charlie (Charlise) "Chuck" Shepherd moved to Hope County at the suggestion of her brother, Michael, and influence of high school friend, Joey Hudson. There was an opening as a Junior Deputy, and he knew that his big sister was begging to get back to the small town she moved away from when she was 18. The job was practically handed to her as she had just left a job working in Dade County, Georgia, and was a highly sought after officer, given her record.

Tasked with the take down of the suspected 'doomsday cult' known as the Project at Eden's Gate, Charlie was joining Staci Pratt, Joey Hudson, Earl Whitehorse and US Marshall Cameron Burke in the arrest and capture of one Joseph Seed in an attempt to dismantle the cult and their suspicious activities. When all hell breaks loose, will Charlie be the catalyst in ending the cult?
