Thalia Alastica is a 14 year old freshman in Chicago who hardly takes interest in anything outside her studies. A strange event leads her to think that there is way more beyond her small world, and that she is part of something more bigger than she was told.

(There might be some jokes in there, plus some gayness, and some mature themes implied. Well not exactly. And one last thing. A bunch of stuff happens and this will be long.)

Aldi lay on the cold floor, his heart racing and his body drenched in sweat. He had just experienced another nightmare, one of many that had been plaguing him as of late. In this dream, he was lost in a dense forest, pursued by an unseen creature that seemed determined to capture him. He had struggled and screamed for help, but there was no one to hear him. As he lay on the floor, trying to catch his breath, Aldi couldn't help but wonder what these strange dreams meant. He had always been a sound sleeper, but lately he had been waking up in a state of fear and exhaustion, feeling as though he had just run a marathon. He glanced at the old alarm clock on his bedside table, its bright red numbers announcing that it was just past four in the morning. In the distance, he could hear the faint sound of people reciting prayers at the mosque near his parents' house. Aldi sighed and sat up, rubbing his eyes. He knew he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep after the nightmare he had just had. He got to his feet and stumbled over to the window, looking out at the brightening sky. The sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon, and the birds outside were starting to chirp, signaling the arrival of a new day. Despite the fatigue and fear that still lingered within him, Aldi couldn't help but feel a sense of hope as he watched the morning dawn. Maybe today would be the day that he finally got some answers about the strange dreams that had been plaguing him.

Kendra lives for exploration. Drawn to the stars, she can't turn down the opportunity to explore newly discovered ruins on a faraway planet. But the expedition stirs up old memories as four scientists work in close quarters. An undeniable romantic tension is brewing between fellow explorers Antony and Seph-if they could just stop bickering during lab meetings. Kendra questions the judgment of their intellectual leader, Bria, who ignores mounting evidence that they've stumbled upon forces they don't understand. Between dreams of alien cities and strange memories that aren't her own, she realizes that something else may be sleeping in the ruins. And soon, that sleeping presence is bound to wake. 95,000 words.
