Zack, Arya and Phillip are known all around school for being geeks. Together, everyone refers to them as Z.A.P. All they know is spend hours behind books, video games, computers and hosting "fandom" parties. On their senior year of high school, all three of them receive an invitation to one of the best and rich advanced schools in the country. Even worse than school is her stepfather, Steven, who has been abusing her for the past year. When she finally calls the police, Steven is put in jail and Cassie and her mom get as far away from him as possible, which means moving back home to the life she left behind. Cassie comes back in time for senior year and just wants things to go back to the way they were. Instead she discovers a new life better than anything she could have imagined.
