How much can a single human being take in a world that gives so little?
Cynthia Bennicans is a woman without a dream. Her ambitions died long ago from a world that wasn't so kind to her. Now on the day of her 35th Birthday is when all of her life's biggest pains and woes are about to change forever. With a plan she has had set in motion since she was a little girl, Cynthia is determined to get everything right.
Cynthia visits the Quiet Rosemary Saloon, a desolate little bar in the small town of Redsbouro Connecticut, and while drowning in her sorrows she is encountered by an older gentleman named Brandon, who too holds his own secrets. The two of them gather together for a night that the both of them will never be able to forget.

This is my first proper short story written in horror and in many, many years. Criticism and Critique is welcome, though disrespect is not.
