That's what happens when Angeline, a shinigami with her own unique set of beliefs, comes to Meiri to tell her the truth about her shinigami background - opening up the gates to an even harsher truth that can either lead towards the light or the dark. However, Angie, with the help of Ichigo Kurosaki and a few others, must help Meiri see the light rather than the dark in order for her to join the shinigamis to defeat the one who wants her to see the dark.
