I realize that we have a lot of people to connect to in the world million miles away, thereby, bridging the gap that distance created in the world. However, this is somehow detrimental as people get connected to people they may never see and disconnected to people who matter the most in their life.
This poem apart from addressing the fact that family bounds are reduced in a bid to reduce world gap that is, between a larger family(world at large) also addresses other social issues and ended by summoning the people in question to act wisely by using the gems around them to their advantages and also to balance their lives in order not to loss the most precious attributes in them, in the quest for the supposed most precious beyond them.

A Collection of Poems
These poems are just some of the little pieces that make up my life. Whenever I get inspired by someone or something, I write a little story about it in the form of a poem. In a way, it helps me express what I have in my mind in a very vague way. I'm not that kind of a direct person, but there are things that are sometimes, better to kept secret. "Kala's dark, smooth skin and Kelly's pale, heavily freckled face contrasted so vibrantly I wondered how they could both be so beautiful. They were like a living yin-yang. Kala sat with legs crossed and arms on her armrests, calmly waiting for the curtains to open. Kelly was talking and laughing excitedly with people all around her. Both girls radiated energy. A kiss can change everything. One kiss with your best friend, and it changes the whole dynamic. What will you do when you get to know that your best friend has been in love with you? I am having thoughts of kissing her. Hell, I see her in my dreams so often now that I am not sure what she means to me now. Millie caresses my cheeks and a shiver runs down my spine. "I can't pretend anymore, Grace. It's getting really hard" she whispers in my ear and I squirm. When she meets my eyes, I say something that surprises her. "Then don't."
