"Sins Of The Past" A Star Trek Picard Story
His name is Damian Milo Decker, a descendant of Commodore Matthew Decker. He's assigned to the USS Bonaventure, a newly commissioned neo-constitution class ship under the command of Captain Jack Ransom, with Beckett Mariner as his first officer. Damian is reluctant to embrace his new assignment, and becomes concerned for himself and his fellow officers due to Ransom's immature behavior. The Bonaventure is sent to deliver relief supplies to Vashti and its inhabitants, but the Romulans refuse to trust Starfleet or the Federation after being abandoned decades earlier when their star went supernova. Damian must also learn to cope with Jack Ransom's ego while navigating the dangerous tasks that lie ahead of him and his shipmates.
