Molly Blaire is 17 years old and always finds herself unattractive and useless. All is terrible, then she meets Justice Hockins, an 18 year old senior who has always been made out as a player at her school.
With a semi-terrible home life, she fights everyday to crack even the slightest smile. Her mom is struggling with major depressive disorder and has often tried suicide in her passed. Molly is scared of what may happen in the future, and often finds herself sitting alone at lunch.
She tries her hardest to not make friends. To her, she feels like it's an excuse to leave the house. Meaning, she'd be leaving her mom alone.
Molly works at the nearest gas station in her town due to a family friend convincing the company to let her work. When her family friend is off work, Molly asks her to go to her house and sit with her mom until she gets back, which is usually around 11pm.
Justice ends up coming around, and he shows her there meaning of life.
