"Who are you?" I inquired to the chestnut haired adonis that sat absolutely motionless in a chair beside the hospital bed that I was on.

"I'm Lucas." he replied vaguely, almost without any emotion in his voice. "But you princess, you can call me Luke." he murmured so quietly that I almost didn't hear it.

I cocked an eyebrow at him, then held his gaze a few seconds too long. I couldn't help it, though his voice was void of emotion I couldn't help but think that it was music to my ears.

"And I'm Daphthea, I am not your mate." I seethed attempting to elicit a reaction from him.

Before I knew it, he had me pinnned to the bed, his larger frame loomed over me and locked me in place. His emerald eyes sparkled with mirth as I smirked at him, it worked.

"You're mine."
