Charlie is pretty simple in how she lives her life. She goes to college, rooms with her best friend, works as a bartender at a local college pub. Oh yeah, and she can feel death.
It starts as a chill, like a wave of ice is drowning her, drawing her closer. The closer she gets, the stronger the chill is until finally, she touches the person and experiences exactly how they're going to die.
It started in elementary school when Charlie ended up having a fit and got sent home screaming warnings about not getting into the car after receiving a hug from her second-grade teacher. Later that evening, Miss. Robins died in a hit and run, leaving the school in mourning and her fellow students terrified of her.
Years later, Charlie meets Banks, and even though she feels the freezing cold around him, she can't find out how he dies. No amount of contact will give her any visions, and oddly enough, he's not always destined to die. With the help of her best friend Rhea, she has to figure out just why he's the one anomaly to this gift of hers, and how she can save him from uncertain doom.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
