This is the story of Rose, a former pet dog just discovering what has happened, and trying to survive. But how long will she last?

Ground Zero
A nuclear apocalypse after a terrible war renders the earth barren and void of life. A lone remnant of that war, a bio-metric wolf with metal bones beneath living flesh and skin wanders aimlessly, unsure of purpose or direction. The robotic parts are the only thing keeping it alive for its hundred year lifespan. One day it encounters something strange, something different; a human boy. The boy is unafraid of the wolf and is, in fact, excited to see it. He is looking for animals who his mother told him were ancient guardians of his people and a sign of the one thing they had been waiting so long for; life. But the boy is unaware that this wolf was an animal-like weapon used to hunt down and destroy his people and not a "real" animal at all.
