Alex hates being in a group. She thinks it's the worst way to survive a zombie apocalypse. Groups come with a package of betrayal and hurt, and she doesn't want to feel those things anymore. She's a lone survivor, and she's good at it. However, after avoiding humans for a long time, her luck seems to run out for she runs into someone as she scavenges for food. His name is Kyle. Being abandoned and separated by his group, he see's Alex, and she's his only hope of survival. His skill in fighting zombies is a big fat zero. In fact, how he survived this far in the apocalypse is a miracle. With his persistence and charm, Alex allowed him to tag along. But will they get along? Alex is cold, mean, and only thinks of what's best for her survival. Kyle is quirky, and just a ball of energy. Not even a zombie apocalypse can get him down. Soon they come upon millions of problem: zombies, people, and definitely each other. Wlll they be able solve them? In fact, will they even survive? (to you romance lovers out there, yes there will be, for what is a story without a little romance? : > )

It took barely over a month for the epidemic to spread across the globe. Contrary to belief, the world didn't end with a bang and neither did it go quietly. No. It ended one scream at a time. A little more than a year has passed since the outbreak swept over the planet and annihilated a good portion of the living. Perri was one of the lucky ones who managed to evacuate with the military escorted buses in those early days of the spread. But, that luck didn't last. After one too many tragedies, she had decided to finally leave the, so called, "safe zone". With her main objective being the search for her best friend, she finds more than she bargained for. Her blood is death. Her blood is virulent. Her blood is life. Salvation is hers to give.
