Vivienne Glenshaw, a high school senior, struggles with a breakup and harassment from her ex's best friend, who is also her best friend's brother. Her light through her struggles is always her younger sister Alina, a high school freshman. Though no one really knows the darkness that Alina feels when she isn't busy trying to make others happy.
The two sisters, their younger brother, and the boy next door all help each other deal with the lack of quality time they get to spend with their parents -- besides dinner time -- because of work.

High school is the period of your life where you feel older and independent. It's also the time where you're restricted and forced into a slim expectation by standards and norms. High school is the last bit of youth you have before you are let loose into the sticky web of life.
