She was left all alone in town, especially alone when she heard about Bucky going missing and steve supposedly dying. She missed them too much just to stay in the 40s away from her guys. She worked all she could to find a way to find Bucky and Steve. To be with them again. So she put herself in ice. Hoping it would work.
